Kahla Old Town
The former farming town at the foot of Leuchtenburg was first mentioned in documents in 876 AD. Today, the almost completely preserved city wall with its medieval buildings, city gates and towers bears witness to its eventful history. In 1844, Kahla became a porcelain town.
Today, the company, which bears the name of the city, mainly produces high-quality gastronomic porcelain, but also exclusive “white gold” for the household.

And even today, Jena attracts visitors with its culture and high technology. But the unique location in the midst of former vineyards and steep shell limestone slopes also makes a visit to the Saale city worthwhile in any case.
